Depression is a sort of disorder affecting the mood of person. It is the result of changes taking place in mind. Those who respond very quickly to happiness as well as failure are prone to depression. Physical changes are also the major cause of depression in people. Depression occurs only when something unbearable and panic happens and especially when you are not prepared for that. In such cases mind becomes incapable to respond positively and thus fills with negative thoughts and blues.
There are many causes of depression like biological, parental and environmental which can affect your life. Depression is in fact related to physical changes in brain and imbalance of chemical carrying signals in brain and nerves. These chemicals are known as neurotransmitters. The possibility of depression gets higher in children whose parents have been suffering from depression. Things like death of loved ones, financial crisis and breakup of a relationship is also a cause of depression. Childhood conditions and separation of parents is the cause of depression in children.
Generally, people with low esteem and low confidence falls prey to depression. Such people easily get surrounded with negative thoughts and become depressed. Apart from this major disease like cancer and heart disease can be the causes of depression. In women changes during pregnancy are the common causes of depression. Depression affects the total immune system of body and make pain severe than usual. Even in some instance medications used to cure disease and medical conditions are the causes of depression. Hence, there are various and varied causes of depression.
